What it is, and why we use it.
Claude is Anthropic's family of frontier models. Its reputation in engineering teams comes from three things: it follows complex instructions without drifting, it handles very long context (whole codebases, contracts, transcripts) reliably, and — through Claude Code — it works as a genuine coding agent that plans, edits and verifies across a repository rather than autocompleting single lines.
Claude sits in two places at Innoveev: inside our products (RAG answers, document understanding, support copilots) and inside our process — every senior engineer runs Claude Code as a daily multiplier for refactors, test coverage and code review. It assists the engineer; the engineer still owns the architecture and the merge button.

Claude wins when
- Code generation must survive review by senior engineers
- Whole-codebase or whole-contract context matters
- Agent workflows need to run long tasks without going off the rails

- Consumer-facing assistants with the largest plugin surface
- Azure-committed enterprises
Gemini wins when
- Native video / audio / image understanding in one model
- Extreme context windows for archives and datasets
- Your stack already lives on Google Cloud and Workspace
Claude is our default reasoning and coding model. Not because benchmarks say so — because in a year of production use it has produced the fewest surprises per thousand requests. We still route per task: the right answer is a portfolio, not a religion.
