Hub71's startups pass $2.7 billion as Abu Dhabi's tech engine scales
Abu Dhabi's flagship ecosystem now hosts 400+ startups; its 17th cohort recorded the largest intake funding yet.
Hub71, Abu Dhabi's flagship global tech ecosystem, has scaled past 400 active startups. Its portfolio companies had raised more than $2.7 billion (AED 9.9 billion) and generated $1.5 billion in revenue by the end of 2025, according to Gulf Business.

- Hub71 received more than 5,000 startup applications in 2025 — a 62% year-on-year increase.
- Its 17th cohort of 26 startups collectively raised more than $223 million — the largest funding recorded for any single intake.
- Backed by Mubadala, the programme offers subsidised housing, free office space and cloud credits; top sectors include fintech, healthtech, climate tech and enterprise software.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai increasingly function as one investment market, with Mubadala and DIFC Investments both active across regional venture deals.
