Falcon flies open: Abu Dhabi's TII tops the Arabic AI leaderboard

An open-source bet
The Falcon family is released openly, so developers can run, fine-tune and ship the models on their own hardware. The Falcon 3 series extended that further into multimodal use — processing not only text but images, and, for the first time in the series, video and audio.
For builders across the Arab world, an open, high-performing, Arabic-first model lowers the cost of adding genuinely fluent Arabic features — from support assistants to document understanding — without shipping data to a closed third party.
