Dealio is live in Syria. It was the first marketplace in the country to bring AI into search and listings, built for thin bandwidth and designed Arabic-first from the start.
We designed and built WeSyria, a government services platform, and gifted it to the Homs governorate. The project was completed and handed over.
PO8, a restaurant point-of-sale system, and Que, QR-code menus that sync to PO8, are both in active development for the Syrian market.
Intermittent power and thin bandwidth taught us to build offline-first and keep payloads lean. What holds up in Damascus tends to hold up anywhere.

For over a decade Syria's tech sector was locked out of the global economy. That reversed fast. Through 2025 the US and EU lifted sanctions, GitHub restored full access, and the first Visa and Mastercard transactions in fifteen years ran in Damascus. The government launched a National Startup Agenda and abolished prior licensing for apps, so you can register and ship.
The fundamentals are early-stage but real. A large, senior diaspora is reconnecting, new infrastructure is landing, and the field is genuinely open. Banking and infrastructure still take work, yet this is the kind of opening that only shows up at the very start of a market coming back. And we've been building here the whole time.
